Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a diligent and experienced Staff Accountant to join their team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is a temp-to-hire position and requires a professional who is skilled in accounting practices and can work effectively in an in-office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing GL financial review to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assisting in month-end close processes, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Managing 1099's and ensuring they are prepared and filed correctly.
  • Utilizing Sage Software for various accounting tasks, with preference for candidates with prior experience.
  • Collaborating with other team members to maintain smooth operations and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sage Software is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required Work Hours

The Staff Accountant position is full-time, with work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive hourly rate, with a pay range of $31.25 to $38.46 per hour. Additional benefits will be discussed upon hiring.
